My out of this world adventure at PUERTO GALERA

        If you would ask me one thing I like about traveling, I would definitely say the BEACH that can be seen on different areas here in the Philippines. Aside from the fact that our house is just 5 minutes walk from the South China Sea (which may triggered my lust of beaches) I also love watching the sunset, sitting on the sand and listening to waves on the side (it is my emo moment lol). My friends from IHG decided to have a trip to Puerto Galera and they invited me to come. My first time to go to Puerto Galera was a disaster. I was sick that time which made me incapable of enjoying the place! This is my second time to go here and I promise that I will make the best out of it. 

        Come and Join me as we set foot to one of Philippines best Beaches. 

     We decided to meet up in Jam Liner in Buendia going to the port where we will be riding a boat going to the island. There where six of us that time. Me, Carlo, Diane Mae, Jay, Carmie and kuya John. We got off from the bus station around 6 am and it took us 2 hours getting to the port. After we bought our tickets, we waited for about 30 minutes for the boat to take off. It was a great sail if you would ask me, the sun is shining, the waves are calm and all you can hear is the motor boat. I would just love looking outside the rear view of the boat and breathe the fresh air and admire the vast blue ocean.  After about 45 minutes, we got off from the boat and we were picked up by my friends contact. The owner of Extreme Sport Philippines Adventure Park. He is a German who settled here in the Philippines and put up a Resort not only one but two here in Puerto Galera.

        After we got off from the port, We were escorted to the camping site. This is were my out-of-this-world-adventure begins. Honestly I am not into camping (haha, what? I am not boy scout material). I am used to hotel rooms with comfy beds, but seems this is what my colleague wants, hek! New adventure for me right? It is a good thing that when we got there, the tents are already placed (thank god!). We decided to settle first before we try one of the attractions here in Extreme.

       After we settled our things to our tents, we decided to eat first. Actually we brought our own food. Diana Mae and Carmie prepared some food so that we wont have any problems. The adventure park has no restaurant which is a good thing we brought our own food since the white beach is quite far from the camping site.

      After eating, we decided to try one of the attractions here. The Extreme sport has a lot of choices to try. They Offer Mud Cart, Go Kart, Paint Ball, and ATV. Since we have minimal time here we only chose to try one before we hit the white beach. The mud Kart. Actually, THEY tried it, not me. I am not into MUD. (arte lang?) I know I said that I will be making the best out of it, but what I mean is the BEACH and not the dirt. haha. I will be there photographer.

Did i mention that there is no CR near the camping site. well there is but you need to waaaallllk before yo get there . We will just settle here in the "poso" hahaha

         After they tried the Mud Kart, we decided to go to the white beach. This is where my adventure begins. Since I was not able to enjoy different activities before, Ill do all it means to enjoy this place. We went there around 2 pm. We decided to have swimming, Island Hopping and Snorkeling. It is a good thing that Kuya John knows someone here that could provide us cheap rates for Island Hopping. I don't care if the sun is blasting of UV Rays, what I care that time is ultimate enjoyment.

It is a good thing that it is not a peek season when we got there :)

      After we had swimming for a while, we decided to do island hopping. We went to a lot of places on a small boah that could fit 2 passengers. One big boat brought us in the middle of the ocean before we were distributed to "small banka's". This small boats will bring us to areas where in we can do snorkeling and up close to fishes. The thing here is that we will hold to the side of the boat as it goes and it will drag us to see what beauty you can find on the bottom of the ocean. This is quite an experience. Very different from the island hopping from different Beaches like Boracay and Subic.

One island that we stopped over...

        After we are done with our island hopping, we decided to get back to white beach. We decided to rest for a while and wait for the sun set. While waiting, some decided to buy refreshers and I decided to play beach volleyball. This is kinda my thing. It is a good thing, someone is renting out beach volleyball balls and we kinda played for a bit. 

       After the game, we decided to head back at the camp site. We still need to grill some bar-be-que for our dinner. We decided to have a drinking session at night and decided to set up a camp fire. After we got to our tents, we decided to take a shower first before we start the "kwentuhang lasing"

       After we got drunk (not much) that night, we decided to sleep. We will be having our breakfast at the front beach since we still have to buy souvenirs and go for a last swim before we head back to Metro Manila. We decided to eat in a restaurant near the front beach.

      After our morning swim and souvenir shopping, one of us suggested to try this MINDORO SLING. Can't you believe it? We tried a liquor in the afternoon! Crazy huh? we were flushing red when we finished drinking 2  pitchers of the said drink. Carlo is our barista and we are the (sunog baga). I thought its just nothing since it taste like Orange juive but as I get up, damn! I felt earthquake! Bad move, Bad indeed! haha

       After our afternoon session, we decided to go back to the camping site to prepare our things going back to Manila. I really feel dizzy that time. I thought I was the only one, but all of us did. Well we dont have a choice, we need to go back because all of us have shift the following day. This is a good trip indeed. Even though it is just for a short time, atleast I forget the stress and problems I have. Thanks to my ever fun buddies :D

When we head back to the port, I saw this sign. :D Indeed Puerto Galera is Clean :)

        And there you have it fellas! PUERTO GALERA :) until the next Island Invasion, Arrrgh. I still remember how that Mindoro Sling made a sudden earthquake :)
