Roaming Around VIGAN City :D

I love History to start of, I like looking to Historical places that provides my curious mind some answers of how its like before the generation I am right now. If we have the INTRAMUROS here in Metro Manila, have you tried going to VIGAN City in Ilocos Sur? If not let me take you there for a virtual tour :D

The City of Vigan (Ilokano: Ciudad ti Bigan; Tagalog: Vīgân; is a 5th class city in the province of Ilocos Sur, Philippines. It is the capital of the Province of Ilocos Sur. The city is located on the western coast of the large island of Luzon, facing the South China Sea.
It is a orld Heritage Site in that it is one of the few Hispanic towns left in the Philippines, and is well known for its cobblestone streets, and a unique architecture that fuses Philippine and Oriental building designs and construction, with colonial European architecture. Map Map Map Map .., Dora is that you? lol xD

My mom is from the Ilocos Region and believe me when I say that I've been here almost a 100 times alreay. But why do I still keep on coming back? It is because of the hospitality of the Ilocano people and the historic places that you can see here. Being in Vigan makes me feel like I am in the Spanish Era specially when I am in Calle Crislogo.

I always wanted to sit in the middle of Calle Crisologo in Vigan! yey!! :D

This is the last area in this place that was preserved. The buildings and the entirety of the street shows the beauty of Spanish culture. I really like it when it hits night. I feel like I was in the olden time where Spaniards was still here in the Philippines. The doors, bricks that was imported from Spain and the ancestral furniture that still lies within the tourist spot makes you trip here exciting.

My friends Phoebe and Rose enjoying the ancestral building. 1,2,3 pose :*

Ooohhh I so love this street!

You might think of me like a vampire not showing day light pictures at Calle Crisologo, Of course we do have some photos!

See the building? I dont see it as creepy! I see it as AMAZING :D

The best way to roam around VIGAN is riding a "kalesa" See how cute Petra is? :))

There are also souvenir shops within Calle Crisologo if you want "pasalubong"

Aside from Calle Crisologo there are also other attractions here that you must see. All of this attractions can be seen if you will ride the "kalesa" and believe me you'll enjoy all of it! Let me show you some of the attraction here in Vigan :D

"Baluarte"

Baluarte is own by the famous politician Chavit Singson. This place is open for all. No entrance fee and even the ponies that could take you for a tour all over the said mini zoo is for free. You can see here several animals as if they are on there natural habitat. They also feature animal shows for kids and kids at heart.

Me with friend, Phoebe Lopez

With Rose at the tellow submarine, Beatles are you there?  :D

It wont bite Phoebe! but i do <3

My pretty girls :D

Look at those teeth!

That parrot talks a lot. I hate him. ahaha

Now, does he look fierce huh?

They also have Butterfly Sanctuary :D

"Hidden Garden"

My mom in front of Hidden Gardens

This one is somewhat far from the street of Calle Crisologo. Hidden Garden is a small area in Vigan that showcases different ornaments and potteries. Vigan is also known for making Pots made out of clay. They also have a hall of fame for celebrities visiting the place.
They also have a restaurant here where you can eat there specialties. Who would dare to leave Vigan without trying there special Longganisa, Okoy and my all time favorite Empanada. You might be thinking how special Empanada is from the usual empanada that you can see. Well, this one is different, it bigger, with egg, sprouts and longganisa inside a though with a croissant shape. You will also be needing to pour some "sukang Iloko" to make that food extra yummy! :D

We are heading to there herbal plants.

No one to sit with Phoebe? lols.

The restaurant where you can eat all those that i mentioned. Yummy :D

The flower Girl. lols.

Ooooh, Japanese Garden. :)
